A really stunning mixed media piece created from a section of a type case / wooden printmakers tray. The wood has a lovely warm, silky aged patina. I have waxed the wood to protect the finish.

This piece contains a crosier (the curled young fronds) , gold painted fronds and paintings set in several layers of resin. (Bearing in mind each layer of resin needs two days to dry, these pieces take quite some time to make :)

I have grown all of the ferns in my garden.

The resin creates depth and shadow and protects the delicate ferns.

This piece is signed on the back. It can be hung on the wall with the saw tooth fitting.

Dimensions: 14.5cm wide, 21cm high (including the handle), 3.6cm deep.
