A really stunning mixed media piece created from a segment of a type case / wooden printmakers tray. The wood has a lovely silky, aged patina.

This is one of my largest pieces and contains real fern fronds and crosiers, gold painted Spleenwort fronds and paintings set in several layers of resin.(Bearing in mind each layer needs two days to dry, these pieces take quite some time to make :)

The resin creates depth and shadow and protects the delicate ferns.

This piece is signed on the back. It can be hung on the wall with the triangular brass fitting.

Dimensions: 14.5cm wide, 38cm high including the handle, 5cm deep.

All of the ferns used are taken from my garden.
