A lovely little mixed media piece created from a segment of a type case / wooden printmakers tray. These pieces came about through my fascination with the birds that visit our garden.

I have made the eggs from clay and set them in resin in the printers tray. Each egg is carefully measured to the size of the real eggs and hand painted. I use the little Observer's Book of Bird Eggs for reference.

There are twelve eggs in this piece, they are:

Blackbird, Starling, Mistle Thrush,House Sparrow, Robin, Chaffinch, Dunnock, Nuthatch, Goldfinch, Blue Tit, Coal Tit and Wren.

This piece is signed on the back. It can be free standing or hung on the wall with the triangular brass fittings and wire.

Dimensions: 16.5cm wide, 16.3cm high, 5cm deep.
