This little Secret Hive is made inside a lovely hinged metal box. This maybe pewter or silver plate. It was made in the USA, the makers mark is on the bottom of the box. The floral engraving is beautifully made. The little box stands on four metal feet.

Hiding inside I have created a little secret hive with handmade paper honeycomb and two little bees which I have made from felt, thread and wire. The 'honey' is made from dyed resin. The wording reads 'Life is the flower for which love is the honey' by Victor Hugo.

This piece is signed and numbered on the back.

The little box when closed measures: 4.5cm x 7cm and is 2.25cm deep.
