The wood has a lovely silky, aged patina. \u003cbr\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis is one of my largest pieces and contains real fern fronds and crosiers, gold painted Spleenwort fronds and paintings set in several layers of resin.(Bearing in mind each layer needs two days to dry, these pieces take quite some time to make :) \u003cbr\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe resin creates depth and shadow and protects the delicate ferns.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis piece is signed on the back.
