I have made this hive piece inside an antique mahogany clock case. I really love this one! The bird house shape is gorgeous. The wood has a smooth shiny patina and its a lovely warm colour. The door has brass hinges and a little hook to fasten it closed. Even the little brass feet are adorable!

Hiding inside I have created a little Wild Hive with handmade paper honeycomb and little bees which I have made from felt, thread and wire. I have set the honeycomb at different depths. The 'honey' is made from dyed resin.

This piece is signed and numbered on the back.

The case when closed measures: 11.5cm x 9.5cm and is 7cm deep. The base measures 9cm x 6cm
