#066 Secret Hive

This little Secret Hive is made inside a wonderful Victorian brass vesta (container for matches). The vesta has a lovely pattern detail and aged patina.

Hiding inside I have created a little secret hive with handmade paper honeycomb and two little bees which I have made from felt, thread and wire. The 'honey' is made from dyed resin.

This piece is signed and numbered on the back.

The little box when closed measures: 4.5cm x 7cm and is 2.25cm deep.
