This little Secret Hive is made inside a beautiful Victorian black laquered box, it has lovely detailed engraving on top. I'm not sure what the original use was for this wee box, its a really special little piece.

Hiding inside I have created a little secret hive with handmade paper honeycomb and two little bees which I have made from felt, thread and wire. The 'honey' is made from dyed resin. The quote by Victor Hugo reads:

'Life is the flower for which love is the honey'

The little box when closed measures: 3.8cm x 9.2cm and is 2.8cm deep.
