A beautiful mixed media piece created from a segment of a type case / wooden printmakers tray.

This is the only piece left from a series of mixed media pieces I made on a butterfly theme. The text reads:

'Flutterby Butterfly floating flower in the sky Kiss me with your petal wings Whisper secrets Tell of Spring...'

The butterflies are hand painted. The wings have been folded slightly so that they create shadows on the gold background. The resin creates a lovely depth to the piece and emphasises the shadows.

This piece is signed on the back. It can be hung on the wall with a triangular brass fitting.

Dimensions: 22.5cm wide, 19.5cm high, 3cm deep.
