Sewing Bee #194 Claret

A lovely wee mixed media Sewing Bee created from a vintage wooden cotton reel, handmade honeycomb, needle and felt bee.

I made this piece from a vintage wooden reel with claret coloured flax thread.
The two little bees, I hand stitched with thread, felt and wire. The honeycomb is made from painted and varnished paper and filled with honey coloured resin. The piece is completed with a threaded sewing needle.

The piece measures 6.8cm high by 5.5cm wide.
