#195 Secret Hive

This little Secret Hive is made inside an antique Victorian powder pot, it is made from laquered papier mache and has a wonderful silky smooth patina. I have polished it with museum grade protective wax.

Hiding inside I have created a 'Secret Hive' with handmade paper honeycomb and three little bees which I have stitched from felt, thread and wire. The 'honey' is made from dyed resin.

This piece is signed and numbered on the back.

The pot when closed, measures: 10cm in diameter and is 8.5cm high.
