About ...

...A little bit about me...
I have a fine art degree from Manchester Metropolitan University.
I have been working as an artist and jewellery maker since 2007, since then my pieces have been exhibited at art fairs and in shops and galleries throughout the UK. I work from my home studio in Haworth, West Yorkshire, creating a range of mixed media pieces, art cards and jewellery. A passion for upcycling and a desire to make affordable, quirky pieces has been my inspiration.
...Sewing Bees and Mixed Media Pieces...
I love visiting vintage fairs and antique shops, our home is full of vintage finds, I also love to incorporate these treasures into my work. My larger pieces are made from sections of typecase / printer's trays. Smaller pieces are made from vintage trinket pots, wooden boxes, tins, weaving shuttles, all sorts of things.
I have a huge fascination for bees and ferns, both feature in my mixed media pieces. I've made a little fern bed in my garden but we don't keep bees ... yet...

...The jewellery...
The pendants available to purchase are made with vintage wooden Scrabble tiles. Scrabble tiles measure approx 2cm x 1.7cm. The Japanese collection are made from a type of Japanese silkscreen paper called Chiyogami. The Cottage garden Collection is created from prints of my ink drawings.

Every tile pendant is unique and so may not match exactly the image shown. When making each pendant I select tiles at random so the one purchased may not be the same as the one photographed.

Scrabble tile pendants are hung on 16" or 18” sterling silver ball chains. These are presented in a matching Teeny Tiny Tin.

Earrings are made from original sixpence coins with handmade sterling silver earring hooks. These are presented in a matching Teeny Tiny Tin.
The brooches are made on vintage wooden domino or draughts (checkers) pieces.
